A ponder and A layout

I have decided that vacation is important. It doesn't matter if it's a "stay"cation (like what I'm taking now) or "away"cation. I really love my job and highly enjoy what I feel the Lord has called me to do. But that feeling of burnout tends to creep in and ruin that joy. I always thought.. nah I don't need a vacay. However, the past two months I have been near exhaustion. I even began not liking my job which is such a LIE. So this past week I've been on vacation. All I have done is sleep in, eat delicious meals, spend quality coffee dates with friends, catch up on business and CREATE!
The only thing missing is a good margarita!!!

Here's a layout that I made last night:

Patterned Paper - Cosmo Cricket (polka dots), My Minds Eye (stripes) and Crate Paper (brown for roof)
Cardstock - Bazzill and Making Memories
Paint - Making Memoris in ocean blue
Brads - American Crafts
Bling - Kaisercraft
Yellow letter stickers - American Crafts Thickers
Orange stickers were made on my computer.
Glossy Accents

What I did:

Using my Pioneer glue stick, I adhered the patterned paper to the houses and after allowing them to dry a bit, I trimmed off the paper with my fiskars finger knife.
For the doors I painted them with the MM paint. Once the paint was dry I went over them with glossy accents. Then I used my Crop-o-dile to punch a hole for the brad. I used Glossy Accents to adhere the doors and then sun. I LOVE that stuff!

The photo:

That was my house when I lived in Guatemala for 10 months as a teacher. It was the best experience of my life! We had a lemon tree in our yard and a wild poinsettia. I really miss it there minus all the interesting bugs that seemed to also love our home.
