scrapsketch and a RAK!

Yahoo! The new sketches are up at scrapsketch. Here are my layouts for this round and the recipe's. Keep on reading too because there is a RAK at the end of this post. ;)

This is for sketch #75.

Materials:
Background cardstock is actually white. The coloring of the photo did not turn out very well. I'm still figuring out how to get rid of that blue hue that seem show up with white paper.
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye 'Pretty Please'
'Play' Stamp: Technique Tuesday 'Catalina' letters
The letter 'P': Colorbok
Large Brads: SEI 'Dill Blossom'
White Button: Creative Cafe
Twine: Stash
Paint: Making Memories 'capri'

I've always loved the look of painted backgrounds on layouts and when I first saw this sketch, painting a layout immediately came to mind and I knew I had to do it! Even if the sketch hadn't been assigned to me, I still would have probably done it! Too fun to pass up! That big flower is a 2" version of the pinwheel flower. You can find the tutorial for making these in the right menu bar of my blog.

Sketch #77.

Materials:
Cardstock - Bazzill
Patterned Paper - My Minds Eye 'Pretty Please'
Flowers - Bo Bunny
White buttons - Creative Cafe
Leaves - Prima
Ampersand stamp - Fiskars
Small yellow letter stickers - Making Memories
White letter stickers - Doodlebug

This was another fun layout to do. I don't work with arrows all that much and thought it would be fun to challenge myself. While I didn't use all the arrows from the sketch, I enjoyed using the big one as a backdrop for the title. And can I just toot my own horn for that big flower? I LOVE flowers!!!!!

Now... are you ready for the RAK and how you can win it?

Get a jump start on mother's day!! Don't you just love these word mini-books? I'm working on right now and hope to have it posted soon. It's kind of a "life journal" mini-book and you'll understand more, when I show you, why I titled it that.
How would you like to get your hands on some of that beautiful Dill Blossom (by SEI) paper, a lovely word mini-boo and those FUN buttons?? Do you see the "diamond in the rough" there? Look closely. :)
So, what do you need to do to be eligible to win this lovely RAK? Just leave me a comment telling me what inspires you. It doesn't have to be scrapbook related! What gives you juice in the morning? What gives you gumption? Please share!!!
If you follow my blog, you will be entered twice! :)

A winner will be drawn on Sunday, June 7th.

Can't wait to read all your inspiring comments!

Over the years, I've had many different means of inspiration. When I was younger it was my children, now it's generally my grandkids. My work takes a close second - I believe in the theory that work should be a mission in life, not just a job to earn a paycheck.

Love reading your blog as part of my daily reads.

What a great RAK. I am really enjoying your blog-a ton of inspiration. A blessing for the crafting impaired such as I.
