cards and layout for scrapsketch

The latest round of sketches are up at scrapsketch and here is what I did:

Sketch #130
{Story}: So excited to do some cards using the sketches. My strength has always been with cards and with every sketch, I always see a card! And finally! I'm making them. :)

Kraft CS - Bazzill Basics
Patterned Paper - Little Yellow Bicycle
Sticker - 7 Gypsies
Brad - American Crafts

{Story}: This layout was not only using this sketch but I also was inspired by the DIstressed challenge over at Scrapping out LOUD. It is such a fantastic challenge blog and the DT is definitely my style. So get on over there and check it out!

Kraft CS - Stash
Patterned Paper - Little Yellow Bicycle
Silver brads and letter 'Thickers' - American Crafts
Journaling card and die cut - My Minds Eye
Stamp ink - Distress Ink by Ranger in Fired Brick

{How}: For the background CS, I crinked up all the edges so much that there are some tears. I tore them a little bit further. Then, with a cotton ball, I rubbed on the stamp ink around the edges. To add to the "look" I took a couple of the torn parts and stapled them. I did the same crinkle and tear technique with the patterned paper. I love the texture that comes with layouts where everything isn't so flat! I've done flat layouts before but there's something special about those that jump off the paper. I'm a texture kind of gal I guess. :)

Sketch #128
{Story}: I decided to do just a card for this sketch. Can I say that I just LOVE this card?? It has a lot to do with this Cosmo Cricket line.

White CS - BazzillBasics Dotted Swiss in white
Patterned Paper, ric rac and chipboard - Cosmo Cricket 'Ever After'
Flowers - Bo Bunny
Bling - Stash

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I've cooled off quite a bit since my last post although I'm now downstairs in my living room. The craft room is just way too stinkin hot! (It's upstairs).
