That's so "Melissa" and other Monday stuff

I pulled a "Melissa" on Saturday evening.  Apparently, my camera is not as "drop proof" as I thought it should be!  The nerve!!!  Saturday it fell off my desk and I thought I heard a funny noise as it hit whatever it did.  When I picked it up, I didn't see right away any damage.  However, on Sunday when I attempted to take a photo I noticed that my LCD screen was cracked.    I was almost in tears until I remembered I do have a back-up camera.  It's not quite as cool as this other one but it takes great photos as well.  I can't... nor should I complain!  It will cost around $50 - $60 for a new screen it looks like... at least that cheap if I want to attempt to replace it myself.  Thankfully I think I have enough "techie" friends that would love the opportunity to take my camera apart and put it back together for the price of a coffee.  I trust them and have absolutely no problem with that!  Now it's just a matter of adjusting my budget.  While it's not a huge amount to some... it is to me.  But it will work out!  No fear!!

This Monday marks the official Fall madness.. as I like to call it.  Classes and events at my church are starting back up again.  It also marks the week that So You Think You Can Dance starts!!!!  I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!!!! LOVE that show so much and can't wait until Wednesday!  I also got some prototypes done of items that I'll be selling at a couple of craft shows in November.  I want to build up a good stock of everything so I'm getting started now!  This time of year is so busy and fills quickly and if I don't start now... I'll be cramming the week before the shows and I hate that.

It's starting to turn into fall here!  I can't wait for the trees to burst into color and to visit the Pumpkin Patch, corn maze and Apple Orchard!!!! This is definitely my favorite time of year!

You know, I have never actually watched So You Think You Can Dance! I'll have to check it out this season!

Oooh, I feel your pain. I have a Nikon D40. It's a bit old school, but it's sturdy and has survived even my level of clumsiness - ie, concrete steps and drops from heights. Gets a bit funny about auto-focus now and then though.

At least you have a back up x

Darn it! : ( Sorry about your camera dilema. I am super-glad to hear that you have friends that accept Coffee-payment (those are the best kinds of friends). : )
