AAM Challenge #7

The latest challenge is up at All About Me and we are ready to celebrate the holidays!  Or something like that!  Our challenge this round is "Processing the Holidays".  This is a journal-focused project and we are challenging you to do a layout centered around your primary holiday memory and emotion.  Remember, the focus is on YOU!  Here is my layout:

{Story}
Whenever I think of Christmas, I immediately think about these ornaments.  When I think about the ornaments, I can recollect how Christmas was at my house every year.  Even during the years we didn't have much, we also had love and the fact that we could celebrate the birth of Jesus.  This time of year always brings out the best of smells.... baking... cinnamon... that's what these lovely ornaments bring to me!

{Journaling}
Whenever Christmas comes I always look forward to decorating the tree and pulling out these gingerbread ornaments. They are over 30 years old and have a distinct cinnamon smell that is still with them. It is a smell that brings me warm and happy thoughts of the holidays growing up! I go back in time remembering the excitement and anticipation of Christmas! This smell will always be my pleasant Christmas memory!

{Materials}
