Just Eat It! {Sketchabilities Reveal}

This layout was made using the latest sketch over at Sketchabilities.  I know I say this everytime I post a Sketchabilities layout but I just adore these sketches!  Can't even believe the current term is already almost over.  Makes me sad!

Isn't that little face adorable???  That's my little Valentine.  He is one of my very good friends son and I am completely twitterpated by him. These photos were taken at a coffee shop and he is serious about his food.  Can't you tell?

{Materials}
Background CS - Core'dinations
Patterned Paper - Amy Butler by K & Company
White doilies - Martha Stewart
Flowers - Michaels
Buttons - mixture of Bo Bunny and stash
Chipboard letters - Scenic Route
Letter stickers - Making Memories

{Technique}
I'm really loving Core'dinations papers and their veratility.  The thickness is great to work with and I love learning new ways to expose the core.  I took a craft knife and lightly scraped the lines, showing off the lighter blue core.  So fun!! I didn't use a ton of embellishments on this one and even hid the patterned paper more than usual because I really wanted the focus to be on that cutey pie!  One of the greater challenges I had with this was balancing the feminine with the masculine!  I'm such a girly girl and it was hard to not bust out a bunch of flowers and bling!

Come on over to Sketchabilities and see what the rest of the fabulous DT did!  And play along while you're at it!!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Feliz dia del Carino!

hugs,
Melissa
