Playing with the Silhouette

I love my Silhouette SD.  You will find on my blog that I am extremely biased and say that it is the best machine ever.  I've used the Cricut too.  I liked it.  But the pros for the Sil far outweigh the pros for the Cricut.
With all that said... I created some cards using my little pretty last night.

For the first one I used the card_flower_row_ image.  It's actually a card template but I trimmed off the flower border. Used some pop dots, Amy Butler paper for underneath, add ribbon and bling and here you go..

For this one I played with the Closed Spline tool to make my own balloon shapes.  Throw in some fantastic Fancy Pants paper and I'm like a giddy little school girl. Flower and bling are from Kaisercraft...

And the last one.  LOVE being able to use fonts that are already on my computer.  I have a ton.  Used some old October Afternoon and Coredinations CS for this one. Flower is from Prima. I heart Prima.....

Last night I attended a craft night at my church.  Women come with all kinds of crafty project ranging from latchhook to knitting to needlepoint.  Someone even brought their ironing once.  Who knew!!??!!  Of course, I pack up all my scrapping stuff.  I always begin the packing process by telling myself to only bring kits but I can't help myself.  I always seem to want what I don't bring so I end up bringing everything.  Such is the case last night.  But I did leave behind some ribbon... wouldn't you know it was the ribbon I wanted....
How do you pack up for crops??  Are you good and only bring a small bag or are you like me and give up and just pack up the whole room???

hugs,
Melissa
