October at ScrapStreet & SFTIO!

Yay!!!  One of my favorite months is here!  I love October.  September teases us with Fall but October... when it finally rolls around, it is Fall and I am ready to enjoy the changing colors and fresh harvest food from the surrounding farms.  I brought home 6 big ears of sweet corn on the cob freshly picked this morning.  Can't wait to dig in!

Well... it's the first of the month which means all kinds of exciting things are happening!  It's a new issue at ScrapStreet!  I love this issue!  The Fall colors are so beautiful.  Makes me want to grab a pumpkin spice latte and get all comfy whilst reading it.  Make sure you check out The Showroom where we got to play with My Favorite Things stamps and my article, Blog Bay.

Ooooh I love Halloween!!!! Spooky!!!!  Make sure you check out our Current Calls as well!  Did you know we reach over 10,000 subscribers?  How cool would that be to have your beautiful work displayed for the world to see?

It is also a brand new month at Scrapbooking From The Inside Out!  Our October kit is called Purpose. What is your mission? What aspirations do you hold most dear? Find out with our October kit, PURPOSE. This kit is all about finding your way to confidence and resolve.

Right on trend and inspired by the Steampunk Movement, we've used the sought after Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante along with Crate Paper's Restoration Line and Kaisercraft Lush to reflect an old world theme with a modern twist. Gears, bling, corrugated cardboard , clocks, wings...this kit has it all.

The kit also includes great alphas, Basic Grey's Basics Line chip, metal and canvas embellishements, brand new window envelopes and bingo markers from Maya Road, and a brand new color of Tim Holtz Distress Stickles. These are the perfect tools for understanding your principles, and carry you into fall with style and grace.

Here is one of my layouts for this month:

This past month was a really difficult one for me creatively.  I had been zapped of emotional energy due to the happenings with Team Ewan.  I find that I am still emotional but in a different place.  The creative juices have returned!  Yay!  Most of the time, we would say it's okay to put the glue down for awhile until your mojo comes back.  But I had projects to get done with deadlines.  I had no choice!  So I persevered and created.  You will be able to see a difference in my layouts which I'll explain in a different post this month.  But my purpose with sharing my SFTIO layouts is how your "no mojo" layouts are still valuable to keeping memories.  These layouts are great to show those darker, more sad times in your life.  So while it was like fighting tooth and nail to get something put together, I am thankful for them and how they show the mood I was in.

Thanks for swinging by!  It will be a busy time this month and I'm excited to continue sharing with you!

Big hugs,
Melissa
