Happy December!

It's December!  It's the 1st of the Month!  And boy have I got a packed post with you.  Lots of stuff happening and some FABULOUS news too.  First, we've got two releases right now!  The new issue of ScrapStreet is out.  You really need to check it out.  I got to browse it last night and really enjoyed all the submissions and articles.  I love what is coming through to us and you will love looking at all the projects.

I have two new roles over at ScrapStreet now too.  December will be the last issue with the Blog Bay article in it.  Beginning in January's issue I will be the new Showroom writer aka the Advertising Editor.  Woohoo! This means I get to work closely with manufacturers in the industry, hook up our designers with fab product and write great reviews for YOU.  AND I'm also taking on the Card Corner article.  Yahoo!  I'm super excited about both roles and really look forward to writing for these.

Take a look at the new issue by clicking on the image:

Some articles of note: Blog Bay (I'm featuring Allison Davis!), Open Road (I always love Stacey's articles and got to have a layout included), Joyful Season (A little GCD Studios lovin') and Holiday Piece (I'm a big fan of paper piecing and do it a lot with stamping and I really enjoyed Pamela's article this month!) After reading, make sure you check out our calls for the March Issue! Would love to see some of your Good Luck cards come through my inbox. :)

Okay onto the second release - it's a NEW month and a NEW kit at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out!  Yay!  This kit is called Wonder. Are you in awe and amazement at the beauty and magic of life? Come with us and celebrate the amazing YOU with our December 2010 kit, WONDER.
This delectable kit is the image of old Hollywood glamour and style...with a nod to the season.
Bling? Check. Feathers? Check. A kit that will knock your socks off? CHECK!

Isn't it gorgeous?

I'll begin sharing my layouts on the blog later this weekend.  But the DT Gallery is up, so go have a look at what we came up with using this gorgeous product.

Alright.  Are you ready for the GOOD NEWS!!!

Well there have been some DT Calls going on.  At ScrapStreet we just added some fabulous new designers to the team.  I am so excited to have them join us!  SFTIO just had a call and I'm so excited to say I'm on for another term!  Yay!  I just love the community and approach to these kits.  The idea of scrapbooking my inner world and digging deep matches exactly with what I desire to do with my scrapbooking.  You'll be able to check out all the new DT members today on the blog!

Also.... eeeeeek... I'm so excited about this one....

I'm joining the Allison Davis/Scrapbook Generation Creative Team!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!  I first met Allison at CHA Summer 2010 in Chicago.  I had seen her name several times on Two Peas by those who were loving her sketches and books so I checked out her blog briefly before hopping the plane to Chicago.  While I stopped at the Nikki Sivils booth, Nikki mentioned to me that Allison had a booth too, across the way.  I had to go check it out and meet her!  Instantly, I loved her sketches.  LOVED the two page designs.  Two pagers have always been a challenge for me but her easy to follow sketches were exactly what I needed.  We met and chatted and she sent me home with a book.  I also invited her to be in a Blog Bay article in ScrapStreet!  She was so sweet to oblige and let me play along with the sketch.  When I saw her announcement for a CT I knew, without a doubt, that it was a team I would love to be part of.  So thank you Allison and team for allowing me to be part of this grand adventure!

Phew!  I think this was the most active and exciting "first of the month" post in a long time!

Hope your December is beginning wonderfully!

Big hugs,
Melissa

I thank you for stopping by at the SRM blog hop and leaving a comment. I am glad to look you up as I recognized your name. You stories of your son is beyond heart wrenching. Perhaps this is not the best place to leave such a comment, but may the peace of God which surpasses all understanding surround you.
