Admire

I've had lots of people in and out of my life.  Some that have been dear friends and then we both have moved on.  Some were acquaintances and others who spoke deeply into my life and I still am blessed to call them my friend.  One group that immediately pops into my head as being influential in my life is my old Small Group.  I remember being asked to lead a group of young adult women.  They had been meeting for awhile already but had lost a leader.  During our time we watched other young women join our group and leave.  And then we had Kaari and Danielle join and stay!  I loved this group.  We grew a lot in our faith and challenged one another.  We prayed together.  There were a lot of laughs and some tears shed too.

I remember our last time together as a small group.  I was heading out to Guatemala to do my year of teaching and one of our other gals was heading to Montana to work with a Christian organization at Glacier.  It was a bittersweet time and we had lots of fun.  I will always remember this group.

All the supplies are found in the December kit - Wonder - from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out.  I used the word Admire for this layout.  It is a synonym of Wonder.  It is true that I admire each of these ladies and am in awe of how God can work through a bunch of messed up women.

I loved the MME So Sophie papers and that yummy textured cardstock from Core'dinations.  So fun to ink up and sand to reveal even more the embossed circles.  The chipboard flourishes were really easy to jack up.  I just used some Acid Free Glue from Helmar to coat the board. Then drenched it with Sugar Coating glitter from Doodlebug.  YUM!

Only two and half more shopping days!!!  I'm going to join the madness out there tonight and do some last minute shopping.  Still got a few more things to get.  I like to wait until the last minute. :)

hugs,
Melissa

Lovely layout to go with a beautiful memory. So important to appreciate the people who come into our lives, be it for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
