Hoppin' with SFTIO!

Hi everybody!

We're having a Blog Hop today with the Scrapbooking from the Inside Out team.  If you are just arriving at my blog, make sure you start from the beginning at Nancy's blog.  We are sharing layouts using product from the January Reflection Kit.  Only with a twist...

I'm sharing with you a layout made by Nancy!  Which I'm very excited about because I so love her work and I am honored to have one of her amazing layouts (one of my faves) grace my humble little home here.  So I thought I would share the layout with you first and what she had to say:

From Nancy: "Sometimes my favorite layouts are the ones I create to remind of the person I want to be. I hope this layout inspires me to keep life simple and not overreact."

I agree.  Those are my favorite layouts too.  I love going back and reading the journaling and looking at the design elements.  And this is so perfect for the emotion that this kit is based on - reflection. This kit is packed full of beautiful elements and papers from Basic Grey, Kaisercraft, 7 Gypsies and more!

Click on the photo to take you to SFTIO and get your own kit!

And what Blog Hop wouldn't be complete without prizes???  We've got some prizes.  You could win a paper pack from Bo Bunny and Adornit!  Woohoo!  In order to be eligible to win, you need to leave me a comment.  You get more chances to win by commenting all along the blog hop too.   So leave me a comment about who you want to remind yourself to be. (We're keeping with Nancy's reflection up above.)

The hop will continue through to Friday evening, 5:00 MST.  The winners will be announced on the SFTIO blog Saturday, January 29th!

Hey... and that happens to be your next stop on this fabulous hop.  Head on over and we'll see you again this weekend! :)

Hugs,
Melissa

Who do I want to remind myself to be? Me! Too many people are always wanting me to change something about myself. My hair, my clothes, the way I talk...I like who I am and get really angry at the people in my life who want me to change and be more like them! I think not.

BTW...LOVE the butterflies on your lo. :)

I love that layout and how Nancy used the circles. I need to remind myself to be a more patient person. Seriously.

i need to remind myself to be a self-confident individual. too many times i let my insecurities get the best of me...and that is unfortunate!

Yep, I've had "imposter syndrome" for most of my life -- working to just be myself & accept it, but it's hard to overcome ingrained insecurity.

Love the LO -- just gorgeous!

First off- Gorgeous LO Nancy!!! Love the butterflies and the feeling of calm that it gives me.
I need to remind myself to be more loving toward myself. I am my own worst enemy.

Ooh! I love Nancy's work - like you, she is crazy talented :). This layout is no exception! As far as the person I want to be...one who is fair and willing to be open to other's ideas about the world... :)Hey, quick thanks for the goodies you sent for your give away - i'm so loving them! Can't wait to get some good use out of the sketch book...

So many things I need to work on! Maybe Calm should be my focus at this point in my life. I am almost an empty-nester, and it is completely freaking me out!
This blog hop has really made me reflect!

I should be the person who is having the time of her life.

I've enjoyed looking at your other work, loving the cards.

I love that scene in "Runaway Bride" where Julia Roberts finally decides to figure out what it is SHE likes/wants/etc. I always think of that when I feel like people or myself are demanding things from me that I can't or don't want to do...so with that in mind, I want to remind myself to be the True me, the person I need myself to be to protect this wonderful, intricate woman I am becoming!! Thanks for the thought provoking question and the great layout!

Lovely layout. Who do I want to remind myself to be? Myself. Sometimes "me" gets lost in the world of mother and wife.

I always liked Ali Edwards sentiment "You are ok" - so that is what I need to remind myself of - faults & all...thks for sharing

Definitely want to remind myself that not only do I WANT to be me, but I NEED to be me. I no longer have the energy to be that person everyone else wants me to be, sad fact, but true, I just don't have the energy anymore.

Wonderful layout. Wow. I need to remind myself to be me. To work on self confidence. I need to be the person inside me, and not just Mom and wife.
