Love You!

I really do.

Nikki Sivils and her team have been scouting out blogs who are proudly displaying her badge and then giving out prizes.  I am loving her new releases so imagine my delight when I spotted a comment from her telling me to contact her because I'd been spotted.  Yahoo!  I've been waiting anxiously the past couple of days to see what line she was handing out and I was sooooo excited to see some CUTE Max and Mollie.  Who knew!  Skunks!  Only Nikki could make them look this adorable.

Last night I declared a crafty night devoted to projects that had no deadline and that I could share right away.  While I love doing design work, it was so much fun to create without any pressure.  Here is what I made with the Max and Mollie papers:

Nikki always includes some type of shaped or scalloped paper.  So I trimmed off the edge and made this pinwheel flower with it.  Then I layered on with the stickers from the cardstock sticker sheet:

My new little friend Mollie needed to hold the sign declaring my love for you so I just took my craft knife and did a little slicing.  Not the cleanest cuts near those corners.  Oops.

Supplies:  Paper, stickers, die cuts: Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker, Cardstock: Core'dinations, Pearls: Kaisercraft, Adhesive: Helmar

Another little design note - so my sewing machine hit the crapper.  It was old and tired and I got tired of it ruining my pages.  Just not worth it.  So I got rid of it and then began to miss sewing on my stuff.  The only problem is I had arranged my tiny craft area in such a way that a sewing machine wouldn't fit.  So I bought this little gadget.  I was skeptical at first.  But it does a pretty good job.  I won't be able to stitch far into my layouts but I can do edges and stitch on my cards.  Can't do any fancy zig zags but that's okay.

Hope you find some creative time this weekend!
