Card and a Crop!

I've been busy making some cards to submit to mags but I managed to squeeze one in that was just for fun.  I try to do this with all my projects.  For every third "assignment", I do a fun project.  This helps me continue the enjoyment of the process.  It's kind of like in ice skating - you know how there are the Olympics where the skaters are judged and scored.  Then at the end of the weeks of competition, they do an exhibition where it's just for fun.  No pressure.  Just a good time!  I find that it's important for me to do this so that I don't feel like crafting becomes a "job".  However... I couldn't think of a better job to have!

I got into my Jillibean stash last night...

Supplies: Paper, twine: Jillibean Soup, Cardstock: Recollections, Bling: Prima Marketing, Brad: American Crafts, Sticker: SRM Stickers, Tool: Electronic Cutter: Silhouette SD (Shapes used: 3d_posy_flower, 10 piece_rectangle_stamp_set_1)

The stamp rectangle shape comes with 10 other shapes.  I just un-grouped, deleted and re-sized one of the shapes for my card.

Here is a close-up of the posy:

Are you feeling the need to crop till you drop??  We're having an Oscar Night Party crop through the end of the month at ScrapStreet.  Put on your red carpet garb and come join us for some super fun and creative challenges!

I'll be slipping in a few of those challenges for some fun scrapping time for sure!

For those of you who get tomorrow off enjoy!  The rest of us will be doing our regular routine.  The good thing?  Working at a childcare center will mean we won't have that many kids which will be nice.  Sometimes I look forward to those days to get some desk work done and then go home early.  Yahoo!

hugs,
Melissa
