Give Me Time

Good morning!
Good afternoon!
Good evening!

I have a DT layout for Scrapbooking from the Inside Out to share with you today.  I seriously fell in love with the combination of goodies in this kit and they fit so perfectly with this month's emotion: Vulnerability.  The American Crafts papers were so fun to work with and I especially loved the butterflies.  I love how symbolic the whole metamorphosis is from caterpillar to butterfly.  You can apply it to so many things in life even vulnerability.  I find the caterpillar becomes very vulnerable.  Even though it seems to be protected in the cocoon; hiding from the world as it changes - it is very vulnerable to the pain and refining it has to go through to become a beautiful butterfly.  Sometimes I find myself feeling like that caterpillar in the cocoon.  I'm not afraid to share my life, my pain, my joys, etc.  But sometimes I like to hide a bit and wait for it to be over.  Just give me some time and I'll share with you.

So many little details to share about this layout.  First, I made a pinwheel flower.  I couldn't help it.  I used one of my border punches to give it a delicate look, topped it with one of the layered AC stickers and did some faux stitching around the edge of the bottom scalloped circle.

Included with the kit this month is some Crackle Accents.  YAY! I haven't worked with this stuff before and had a ton of fun trying it out.  I love you can use it directly onto paper and then also use it to create a new look to embellishments.  You can' really tell in this photo but I put it on that metal tea cup.  It looks like broken glass.

Journaling:  What will they think of me if I put myself out there?  I don't know if I want to be that vulnerable. Not yet. Give me some time.

There are some great challenges given on the SFTIO forum.  Do come check them out!  Even if you're not ready for a kit yet it is a fabulous community.  No drama. Just a bunch of supportive women who love using scrapbooking as a tool to journal about life.  I love it!

In other news... there is a BLOG HOP coming your way!  Yahoo!  I've had the pleasure of working with Sketch Support and the lovely DT and, of course, Allison.  We are going to hopping and sharing a little more about ourselves and there will be prizes along the way.  Fun, right??  Hope to see you this weekend!
