Good Times

The latest challenge given from the Lily Bee team is to include paper embellishments on our layouts.  Easy peasy for this girly!!!  I love adding my own paper embellishments - specifically flowers.  And there's nothing like the amazing help of my Silhouette. :)

Here is what I made using a vintage photo from my childhood.  Story to follow the photo:

Supplies: Paper, rub-ons: Lily Bee Design, Cardstock: Core'dinations, Alphabet: Basic Grey, Bling, pearls: Prima Marketing, Brad: Pink Paislee, Rosette ribbon: American Crafts, Ticket: Not sure... anyone know???, Mist: Smooch Spritz, Tool: Electronic Cutter: Silhouette SD (Shape: 3d_floral)

Aren't we adorable??  That photo is of me and my cousins (twice removed) when we were probably about three.  The three of us are the same age which made it fun growing up.  We don't really keep in touch anymore but it's fun to catch up when we see each other.  I giggle everytime I see this photo so I thought the rub-ons from Lily Bee were perfect.  I created my own "title card" using the different rub-ons and then topping it off with the alpha from Basic Grey.

I did two groups of embellishments to balance the photo and title card.  One rosette in each corner and then I trimmed the ribbon rosette's to create their own embellishment.  Then I added some bling and pearls to help give that lovely little sparkle that I love so much.

Anybody remember where this Giggle ticket comes from?

I can never get good photos of layouts with a white background.  Even with misting all over the place!  These photos were taken with my new camera.  A Sony DSC-HX1.  It's not a DSLR and it's not a Canon.  Which I will get someday.  But it was imperative I get a new camera and it was not in the budget to get my dream camera.  I am loving this one though!  It's quite impressive and does some things that a DSLR would do.  Can't wait to play with it some more. (P.S. Updated 3/12/11: I retook the photo during daylight and after playing with the shutter speed.  What a difference!)

Hope you have a good weekend!
