Layout and a Blog Hop

Fiiiiiiiiiinally!

Okay. So I have a lot of patience. I do. When Blogger hiccuped I wasn't upset because I've been on the tech end of things and know how frazzling it can be. Sometimes it's out of our control. What I noticed was how incredibly blog dependent I am! Wow! It was horrible not being able to make a new post or comment or anything. Just goes to show how much social networking and the internet play a role in our lives now.

You didn't know this but, originally, the SFTIO team was going to do a Blog Hop this weekend.  Due to the hiccup and a few ladies going out of town we are postponing it until Monday. My blog will be the first stop and you will have a chance to win the beautiful Friendship Kit. Seriously. It's gorgeous! And there's nothing quite like an SFTIO blog hop... meaningful, evocative and beautiful layouts.  So come back Monday!

This week is Two-Pager sketch week at Sketch Support. I decided to do a one page with it. You can see the sketch here. And here is my layout:

Supplies - Paper, Border and Banner stickers: Pink Paislee; Alphabet Stickers: American Crafts, Cosmo Cricket; Stamp: Inkadinkado; Stamp Ink: Versafine; Border Punch, Corner Punch: EK Success

Design Notes: I was very excited to see some banners on this sketch but didn't have enough photos to fill up a two pager. I shrunk it to the one page and used one of the spots for a photo as a journaling block. To create the banner, I snipped off the triangles from the border sticker by Pink Paislee and then adhered them with pop dots. To create the areas where an embellishment was suppose to go, I simply stamped on the patterned paper and cut out the images.

Since it was National Scrapbooking Day last weekend, we've decided to make it Scrapbooking MONTH and Allison has been posting some bonus sketches. Yay! Hope you find time to play along. :)

Have a wonderful weekend.
