NSD Hangover and Winner

Hi everyone!

Wow.  What an absolutely fun weekend! I forgot how much I love this time of year and I actually created a lot of stuff. Some altered things, layouts and a couple of cards. All for FUN! No deadline work. No assignments. No "have to's". It was just because. I need these kinds of weekends to keep the mojo going. As I was creating I began to think how much I would love to do this all the time. But then I'd need to join a gym or something. That's an awful lot of sitting on my butt.

I hope you found some time to scrap! Many of you from the Sketch Support blog hop had some jam packed weekends! Wowee. From your kids activities to household chores to appointments - most of you have quite a full calendar don't you? Well, I appreciate the time you took to answer my question. It really was a nosy one but I just love to know everyone's business. Teehee. ;0)

I thought I would share with you a couple of layouts I finished thanks to a couple of challenges from the Creative Crop and Two Peas.

'Be Me' was inspired by a stamping challenge at Two Peas and using wood challenge from the Creative Crop. I am extremely thankful for these stamping challenges. I do like stamps. I have all the supplies but I was so scared to use them. Thanks to challenges like the one from Two Peas, that fear has subsided and I'm beginning to add this technique to more of my projects.

'Important to Me' was inspired by a sketch challenge at Two Peas and a 10x10x10 challenge at the Creative Crop.  Jen Martakis came up with the fab sketch and Stacy Julian challenged us to use 10 items, 10 techniques and 10 words.  Since my journaling has more than 10 words, I chose to highlight the 10 most important.

I also finished an altered frame and two cards that I'll share later this month. Got to spread it all out! :)

If you scrapped this weekend, what challenges and crops did you take part in? Anything stand out to you? Learn anything new?

Are you ready for the winner from the Sketch Support blog hop???  Here she is....

Yay! Congrats Andi!!!!  Now I just need you to email me at melissaelsner [at] gmail [dot] com with your mailing information along with the Sketches for Scrapbooking volume you'd like.  Then I'll send it off to Allison and she'll have that right out to ya!

Thanks again everyone!

Now off to nurse this hangover with more creating...  and an iced mocha....

- Melissa
