You've got a FRIEND in me.

I absolutely love the topic for this months kit at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out. I love people and getting to know people.  So this month will be full of layouts talking about Friendship.  It can be approached from many different angles.  Mine range from being thankful for the friends in my life, how it relates to my personality and the difficulty changing friendships can bring.

Today I'm focusing on the friends who "get" me. Specifically, the scrapbooking side of me.  It consumes a huge part of my life. I've kind of gotten more than knee deep in this hobby and industry and it's so refreshing to be around others who "get" it. And it's those relationships that just open wide the doors to cultivate an even deeper friendship.  I think that's great! Last July had the wonderful privilege of traveling to Chicago for my first CHA experience. While there I got to meet many of my online friends in person. I will admit, I was a little star struck but that passed quickly when I got to know these fab women who love patterned paper, bling and flowers almost as much as I do. Hee! I am excited for this coming July when I, once again, will get to be with these fabulous women!

All supplies are from the May SFTIO kit. For the list of what is included click here.

Some non kit tools I used were my scallop border punch from Fiskars and flower border punch by EK Success.

I know most of you are also scrapbookers but do you have other hobbies that have connected you with some wonderfully close friends?  I'd love to hear how you met!

What a fun page, Melissa! I love that bit of corrugated cardboard and love the banners. And way to rock the Webster's Pages flowers. And I totally get it, too! Scrapping is such a fabulous hobby, and I've met so many cool people through it! :)
