Card time and a GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone!

Say it with me...

It's FRIDAY! Woop woop! And guess what that means? As of 2:30 p.m. PST I will be on vaaaacaaaaaaation! Triple woop!!! Can you tell that I'm a wee bit excited? I know. I really do contain my emotions rather well don't I? Hehe!

I've got a toosh load of giveaways for you this weekend. So you'll definitely want to stick around. And I hope I'll be disciplined enough to get some projects done, photographed and up to share with you too. I'm beginning the wonderful process of writing my packing list, making sure I've got everything, final shopping sprees and all the fun things that come right before a trip. I love it.

To start things off I have a couple of cards to share with you. They were submitted for pub and didn't make the cut. And you know what? It doesn't surprise me. I wasn't entirely happy with them. However, I have learned that what I might not be happy with, someone else loves. This time, I guess, it was agreed they weren't my best work. LOL. But because I'm so willing to share everything with you, even my not so good work, here we go...

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics, Stamps: Inkadinkado, Other: Thread, Paper Piercer: EK Success, Stamp Ink: Versafine, Versamark, Embossing Powder: Stampendous

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill Basics Paper, Stickers: SRM Press, Pen: Uniball Signo

Um. Maybe I should try breaking out of my slight obsession with kraft paper? But it goes so well with everything! I love the clean lines of these cards. I don't know if it's the lack of color or what but I'm not overly happy with the complete product. Hmmm... but they aren't horrible. I guess they are just missing patterned paper, bling and all my other favorite things.  OH WELL!

Now.  Are you ready for the first giveaway of the weekend? I've got a prize for you! The brand spankin' new Sketches for Scrapbooking, Volume 8 is HERE! And I've got one to give to you! I absolutely love Allison's sketches. Her style and approach have helped and challenged me in my layout composition. I've gotten more brave with two page layouts and have noticed how my eye for design has improved. So you will love this book. It's FULL of even more of her amazing sketches.

In order to be eligible for the sketch book just leave a comment! For a bonus entry, confess and share with me a link to your least favorite card. You know... the one you were pretty much embarrassed to share with the world but you did anyway. I promise to be kind. Basically I just want to know I'm not the only one. LOL. So come on! If you leave the link, you get TWO chances to win the book.
Hey... Happy Friday and come back tomorrow for ANOTHER giveaway. ;)

P.S.  Comments can be left until Saturday at 9:00 a.m. PST at which point I'll be drawing the lucky winner. Good luck!

Great cards, Melissa. Sometimes one does not know what the editors are looking for *sigh*
But I think they both would have been 'worth' being published!

I love sketches--thanks for the giveaway!
here is a card I made that didn't really inspire me. I did it at last minute and it wasn't coming together as i had picture it.
