Jillibean Soup: Just a Note

Have you seen photos of all the beautiful new collections from Jillibean Soup yet? I loved all of them. The other day I created a card using the new Sweet & Sour Soup collection. I have no idea when this will be available but I want lots of it. Lots.

Supplies: Paper, Cardstock, Stickers, Twine, Tag: Jillibean Soup, Border Punch: EK Success, Paper Clip: Doodlebug, Tool: Silhouette SD

I used my Silhouette to create the card base shape. I'm sorry... but I have finally decided that my cards can no longer be the boring ole, typical shape and size anymore if I'm going to be a Silhouette lover. There are so many awesome shapes to add that special touch to our cards!

I was inspired by the typewriter from the patterned paper and used the shape card_kit_generic3. Such an odd name for what is clearly a file folder shape. Oh well.  With this kit comes a few other shapes but I didn't want them all... just the base. So I ungrouped, deleted and then changed the shape of the card to measure large enough so the fold would be at 4 1/4". (8.5" wide.) To duplicate the little torn notebook page shape that came with the kit, I trimmed a piece of the patterned paper and then used my notebook edge border punch.

Then... a few stickers here a pop dot there and complete it with some twine my card was complete. I'm seriously in love with the bright colors and patterns of this collection. And that kraft tag? Those are also new too! Love kraft. Love tags. Put them together and it's a love fest!
