Sketch Support: New Sisters

Hello everyone!

It's one page week over at Sketch Support and I got a little confession. I love one page layouts. It's what I do. But when I saw the sketch for this week I cringed just a tad at the size of the photos. At first, I looked for ways to do different sizes but then I embraced the challenge. And I'm so glad I did because it helped me see a different way of using those smaller photos and using the sketch to help balance my layout in a visually pleasing way.

Supplies - Paper, Banner Stickers, Die Cut, Journal Spot: Pink Paislee; Alphabet: American Crafts; Stickers: SRM Press; Flowers: Prima Marketing; Bling: Kaisercraft; Corner Punch: EK Success

The sketch had some star embellishment clusters and I did banners instead. To see the sketch for this week and all the beautiful projects done by the Creative Team, click here.

This layout is quite special to me because it documents my first time meeting some amazing, crafty women. These are my ScrapStreet sisters who have given me valuable feedback and encouragement in all my scrappy endeavors. Last year was also my first CHA and it was like Disneyland to me! So much fun and a sweet week for sure. It was fab to see a few of them again last week.

These papers from Pink Paislee worked perfect to create a bright, bold, summery layout. I used banners to help anchor down the design and used flower/bling clusters to give it a good balanced look. And because I love to mix of my title alpha's I combined a piece of the SRM sticker strip with the Thickers alpha. Worked like a charm!

We are also celebrating over at Sketch Support because the very first Sketches for Scrapbooking ONE PAGE layouts has been released! This weeks sketch is one from the book and there are many more awesome ones. Would you like to win a copy of your very own?

Simply leave me a comment on this post telling me you'd love to get your little hands on one and I'll be drawing a winner on Thursday. So that means you have today and all day tomorrow to comment away.
