Over at For the Luv of Art they are hosting a fun 15-day Card-a-palooza which includes one new challenge each day for card making. The idea is to fill up your card stash with cards that you can use for any occasion. Each day we are issued a design twist. I thought I would share the cards I've made so far this week.

For day one it was to use a die cut. Like the kind already from those die cut sheets. I grabbed my Crate Paper die cut sheet from the Portrait collection and used the flower below. Of course, I had to use my Silhouette too for the card shape. :)

Supplies: Paper, Die Cut: Crate Paper, Bling: Kaisercraft, Other: Lace, Tool: Silhouette SD

The hardest part for me on making these cards was not including a sentiment. I get to do that later when I go to use one in the future. I do like that!

Yesterday's challenge was monochromatic. I have a hard time with this one. I always need to throw in a punch of color. And every time I hear 'monochromatic' I reach for blue. I have no idea why! So I decided to do yellow and not fear how bright it might get. The card is growing on me....

Supplies: Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Cardstock: (kraft) Recollections, (yellow) Core'dinations, Ribbon: Offray, Other: Flowers, button, jute, Tool: Cuttlebug (Used the dotted swiss embossing folder)

I think when I get ready to add a sentiment to this card I'll use brown letter stickers or something to calm down the yellow. It's overwhelming (to me) but I think with another color it will be lots of fun to use. Nonetheless, it was good to stretch my crafty brain and restrict myself to just one color.

Are you looking for some inspiration and mojo for your card making? Come on over to For the Luv of Art and join us! There are some really great prizes too and it's a great community.

Hope you're having a good day!
