Inspired Stamps: Very Thankful

For a long time I used stamps just to add the sentiment. Then I started to branch out using images and such but kind of let them go plain because I didn't know how to color them in. Once I started coloring, I didn't like the look because I didn't have good coloring tools. *sigh* Hence my "stamping challenged" self plug. But over the past year or so, as I've pushed myself to participate in challenges and try out new techniques, I am loving all the different things you can do with stamps and how they can add the perfect touch to your... my... projects.

On my card here, I decided to use the stamps to add color. Between my kraft cardstock and dark patterned paper, it needed some pop to it.

I stamped four times with a different color of ink and then embossed. I'm slightly addicted to embossing. It just makes the stamp stand out a little bit more! To bring it all together I added the flower, button and then stamped the sentiment. The sentiment piece is a combination of two different sentiment collections from Inspired Stamps.
