My J Street Roommates

Good roommates are so hard to come by. I've cycled through my fair share and while it might begin good, the more you live with someone, the more you get to know one another. And sometimes that leads to awkwardness or flat out annoyance. I gave up on finding good roommates. That is until I met Megan and Ingrid. It just so happened that while I was searching for a place to live, they needed a new roommate. The funny thing is that I was actually house/apartment shopping with two other gals. The whole time I was leary about living with them but didn't know how to get out of it without hurting any feelings. Especially since I had no excuse. But then Megan and Ingrid told me about their opening and how they needed someone right away.

I knew these two from church. I knew they loved Jesus and were absolutely stellar women. So I went to visit their house just for the heck of it. And that was it. I told the other two potential roomies that something else came up that was cheaper and met my needs. They weren't happy but at least we hadn't signed contracts or made a final decision yet so I didn't feel too bad. And it was the best decision I ever made.

Ingy and Megs were the best roommates anyone could ever ask for. Sure we had our quirks but the for the first time ever, I was excited to go home! I looked forward to the weekends and weeknights when we would have get togethers or go over to a friends house. We were the female gathering/party house and then there were the boys over on Cottonwood.

How I long for those days again! But I'm so very thankful for the memories and how much of an impact Ingy and Megs had on my life. They kept me accountable, spoke truth and are still great friends. In fact, I count Megs as one of my closest friends! So how could I not do a layout about Growth that didn't include these amazing woman?
