Blog Hop with OWH!

Happy World Card Making Day!

I love paper crafting and I love any reason to spend a day at my crafty table. While scrapbooking has definitely consumed my time, card making will always be numero uno. It was how I started and where I will always know my strengths are.

Welcome to my blog for the Operation Write Home blog hop! If you have just arrived at my blog today, head on over to the Stars and Stamps blog to see a complete list of participating blogs. They are trying something a bit different with the hopes of you all not having any broken links, etc. Hopefully it works out!

I'm sharing with you a Christmas card today. This is probably the busiest card making time for me. I love making Christmas cards to give away and to sell at craft shows. I'm usually drawn to the traditional colors. I know the pinks and blues can be cute too but they just come across too trendy for me. However, there are some manufacturers who dare to cross both lines like Lily Bee Design did last year with their Christmas Town collection. I love how I can still see my traditional red and green but then here comes some blue and black! Who knew! Black! But I absolutely love how it looks.

Supplies: Paper, Chipboard: Lily Bee Design, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Sticker: SRM Press, Other: Ribbon

When I thought about all the different sites hosting WCMD events, it was a no brainer for me to choose OWH. I am constantly touched by how much our service men and women enjoy receiving handmade cards to send to their loved ones. I also enjoy seeing the photos, comments and videos that are sent to OWH when boxes arrive overseas. Makes me want to create a batch load of cards to send!

Want to help out too? Click here to see things to think about before you begin creating and sending cards. There is a wealth of information and tips on the OWH website for you.

I have three prizes to giveaway to THREE awesome blog hoppers.

First up is my brand new digital kit Classic Swank. Two winners will each receive this kit. You can check it out here.

Second is a FREE blog makeover. Yay! To see some of the other blogs (besides my own) that I have worked on, click here.

When you leave a comment, just let me know which you'd like to be eligible for. You can make it easy by saying "I'm digi!" or "I so need a new blog!" I'll keep this open until Sunday 10/2 at 12:00 Noon (PST) and then I'll draw the winners. The winners will be announced with my next blog post at that time so make sure you come back!

I love how you used the black matt to make it pop! I really like how you tucked the bow just a little behind the flower too. :)

Love how you used the plain brown center panel and the black and brown mats. So many different patterned papers - and you made it all work together beautifully.

I was trying to pinpoint why I like this card so much, and I think it's because of the large kraft panel edged in black against the patterned background. Simple sentiment. Great bow. I just love it!

Love the pattern paper on your card, the combo is wonderful. The bow adds the final touch, very well done. Thanks for sharing.

I would request the blog makeover. I have one, but having trouble getting it looking good and started lol
