Busting out the stash

The paper stash that is... ;)

Sometimes I want to get rid of all my scraps because I think they take up room and I just don't want to deal with them. But then days come by, like the one about a week ago, and I'm drawn to some old papers in my scrap folders. I fall in love all over again and want to create with them. It happens, all too often, that I get caught up in the need to always use the latest releases and ignore the papers from years past. While some of that is good for what I do, I also need to remember those poor, forgotten papers that I still enjoy creating with.

Such is the case with some American Crafts papers I found. Some of it is from the first Dear Lizzy collection (I think it was Spring??) and from the Dear Lizzy Enchanted collection and then just random A.C. scraps that I can't remember. After some dreary days and snow, it was fun to create with bright colors.

Supplies: Paper, Thickers, Pinwheel Flower: American Crafts, Alpha: Cosmo Cricket, Cardstock: The Paper Company, Border Punch: Fiskars

Supplies: Paper, Trim, Brad: American Crafts, Cardstock: The Paper Company, Flower: Creative Imaginations, Letter Stickers: Jenni Bowlin, Border Punch: Fiskars

Supplies: Paper, Flair, Journaling Spot: American Crafts, Cardstock: The Paper Company, Flowers: Kaisercraft, Leaves: Queen & Co., Sticker: SRM Press, Mist: Tattered Angels, Border Punch: Fiskars

So great to feel productive and to also use some scraps up!

Thanks for swinging by! The official count down for CHA is coming! I promise to take lots of photos. :)

Now that's where we differ. I very rarely buy new releases. Most of my scrap shopping is done in the sales section.
Beautiful cards as always. What do you do with them all? You seem to produce more than you would need to use yourself.

Cute, cute cards!
I do the same thing with my scraps. I save them in a plastic sweater box.
Every now and then I go through and find some that I love.
Recently though I just went through and pulled a bunch to share with my daughter's teacher at school who was looking for paper scraps for an art project :)

Very nice cards! I feel the same way about my old Chatterbox Patterned Papers! It does feel great using them on a great project though!
