Altered Canvas: Lily Bee Design

Well my posts over at Lily Bee have come to an end but I've got one more project to share with you that was created as part of my Guest Designing gig for March. I purchased a bunch of cheap 8x10 canvas from Michael's awhile back and just haven't pulled it out. Until now! I was inspired by one of the Journal Cards from the Victoria Park collection by Lily Bee that said 'Home Sweet Home'.  That would make a perfect canvas, don't you think?

To make this canvas I simply adhered the background patterned paper - making sure to choose a solid, subdued pattern. Then I mixed up some gesso and water, spread it around, let it dry and then painted over it with some Glimmer Glam paint.

The flowers and fun shape on the black patterned paper, as well as the triangles for the banner, were all cut with the Silhouette Cameo. How fun are those large flowers???

Thanks again for swinging by today! I'm kind of sad my Guest Designing gig is over but I still have lots of pretties to create with. Thank you so much Linda and Kristen for inviting me to come play! It was a blast. :)
