The Bold and The Beautiful

Have you heard of CAS-usal Fridays Challenge blog yet? Well if you are a clean and simple gal, such as myself, and haven't visited yet you better get over there. And even if you are not but like to make cards and need some good inspiration, I encourage you to check it out. I've been inspired by the challenges given over there lots but this is my first time actually linking up. Why haven't I before? Not sure. It's one of those things where you stop and say, "Um... hello?"

I really like the current challenge that's up right now. It's called The Bold and The Beautiful and the prompt is to use pastels with black. Ooooooh FUN, right? I took out the new Victoria Park collection by Lily Bee Design which is PERFECT for this color combo. The pastels in this collection are a little bit on the bold side but still... they are an awesome fit for this challenge.  I ended up making two cards and here they are...

REAL chevron!

Ok... so in regards to that little statement "REAL chevron". I know it's too late to revolutionize the entire craft industry and the minds of all crafters but I need to address that this card showcases a real chevron design. NOT like the "ZIG ZAG" we've been seeing all over the place. The difference?

Do you see it? It's been bugging me for awhile now and just had to be another to point it out. :)  But don't worry... no one is going to start World War 3 over this silly technicality. There are more important things to worry about.

Hey... hope you are having a GREAT weekend. Come back tomorrow because I have some EXCITING NEWS to share. It will be a fun few days on this here blog beginning tomorrow. Can't wait. :)
