More Hello Spring!

It is another gorgeous day in the pacific northwest. I could seriously get use to this weather but know better than to get attached. The sad reality is the rain is returning but I really am thankful for some vitamin d. Gotta soak it up!

Thought I would share another card using the super adorable Hello Spring digital kit by Jen Martakis. Of course, I went hybrid and created a card. In my last post, I shared how I take my photos. I wanted to thank Busygirl, who left me a comment giving the BRILLIANT idea of using a long sheet of fabric instead of my propped up papers. Duh... why didn't I think of that? That would definitely get rid of the "fold" that is sometimes seen in the background. I also wanted to let Tracie know that Picasa is FREE! Oh yes! Sweet deal, eh? Oh and to you readers... you might want to head over to her blog as she has a fun giveaway of some CUTE jewelry!

And thank you everyone else for the sweet comments. As you creative types know all too well, it's so great to get that positive affirmation. My goal is to spread the love too.

OK... on to the card! So for this card it's white and as I mentioned in the other post, I usually do my set up a bit different...

That's a raw photo with no editing but you can see that I use a colored or patterned paper for the backdrop. If it's a pattern paper, I like to use something within the same collection that has a much calmer and complimentary pattern. I still want my card to stand out and not get lost.

Here is the edited and cropped photo....

Even with the white background, it still stands out. At least I think so!

And how about a little close up...

Those stickers from SRM are so fun to use. Love how they just melt into the card and complete it.
