My Happy Place

Do you have a place to go to when you just need to rejuvenate or hide from the world a bit? Maybe it's your place to refill or let out things that are pent up inside your head. I have a place like that and it's my scrap area. Seems like an obvious answer, huh? But it really has become my happy place. Even when the mojo isn't cranking out when I want it to, it is still a place that I can go to and relax. Take a deep breath and let it all out. It's a place where I take time to thank God for the gifts He has given me and to thank Him for giving me a creative outlet. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a "happy place" like this.

This layout was created using the April CONTENTMENT kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out. It fit so well to record a layout about my scrap area for contentment. Because I do feel my most content while creating. I did lots of layering and texture on this layout while still allowing lots of negative space. The bling and pearls were placed in a way to connect the title with the rest of the layout. I think it helps to ground it and adds a bit of whimsy. I like whimsy. :)

The zig zag papers are from My Minds Eye. They are actually a negative cut out from a shape cut with the Cameo. I couldn't throw them out! I like the neutral movement on top. I also busted out the sewing machine to create the ruffle. I had to spritz the paper with water before folding it. Made it a lot easier to do that.

So... where is your happy place?
