A Spring Card for You

It's only been a few days but I feel like such a bad blogger. Part of it is just not having the time or energy. The other is I haven't been creating either. At least it's been things I am unable to share right now. Last night I made myself create for fun and just for me. I use to be so good about that a few months ago but between work and everything else that takes up time (ie. laundry, dusting, washing the car, coffee with friends, etc.) it's gotten away from me. Such a tricky thing balancing life, isn't it?

I need to photograph the cards I made last night but I do have one from, not too long ago, to share with you. I almost forgot I had it! Seriously still in love with the Hello Spring kit by Jen Martakis.

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Sticker: SRM Press, Pearls: Kaisercraft, Glaze: Crackle Accents by Ranger Industries, Stamp Ink: StazOn, Pen: Uniball Signo, Circle Punch: EK Success, Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts, Digital Tools: Hello Spring Kit by Jen Martakis Designs (Two Peas in a Bucket)

This was one of those designs that I saw in my head and it turned out just a tad different. I like it, though. All six circles were suppose to be all on the card but I didn't measure very well and ended up with the two left ones partially off. Woops. But it creates an interesting composition to the card and I do like it!

I don't experiment enough with Crackle Accents and I have this little bottle sitting around from a past kit. I like the texture it brings to the flower and this particular element of the card. Part of me was worried it would bet too much but I think the simplicity of the card design helps.

The Martha Stewart butterfly punch was the best investment. I love this punch and sometimes get a little carried away punching butterflies. In fact, I've got a little bowl full of butterflies punched from different papers. Ha!

This card was perfect to share today as it is a beautiful Spring day here in the northwest! The days of rain definitely make me appreciate these sunny days even more! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
