Hybrid Happiness

Over the weekend I played with some of Jen Martakis' kits and ended up creating a card and a tag. I love the colors and simple patterns in the Hello Spring collection. Super easy to work with and they look even better on paper. ;) Here is a clean and simple card I made by printing out one of the elements and some of the pattern papers.

Super easy. I let the flower do most of the talking here and added some little pearls to add some texture. The sticker from SRM fit perfectly on the bottom.

This tag was fun to make. I had scraps left over with the pattern papers and decided to make on of my Circle Punch Flowers. I'm slightly addicted!

I mixed together some white acrylic paint and water then splattered it on the card. And a happy accident happened when I got water on the pattern paper. The ink began to bleed a bit. At first I was upset but kind of liked the subtle texture it added to the paper so I spritzed a bit more. You can barely tell in the photo but the polka dots have faded and bled a bit from the water.

Hope you have a fabulous Monday! It's cool and rainy here. Thankful for a break from the heat. Sometimes our world just needs a good bath before the next round of sunshine. :)

Happy Victoria Day to my Canadian friends and neighbors!
