My Day Job

Where do I go from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. during the week?

I go hang out with some pretty adorable 1 year olds. That's where I go! In August, I made a huge step of faith and "demoted" myself at work. No longer was I in charge of grown ups but I was now going to be caring for some super, adorable littles. It's a tough job. I'm not going to lie. But, somehow, taking care of babies is so much more joyful than supervising adults. At the end of the day, these kiddos love me even when I have to correct them. They feel so comfortable enough as to drool on my shoulder and rub their noses on my shirt. So sweet, right?

But I do find delight in this current role of mine...

All product is from the May kit DELIGHT from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out. This is my second layout in which my job is featured. Can you tell I love my job??? While the first one focused more on reverting back to childhood joys, this one focuses on the kiddos.

Lots of fun techniques on this layout.

This wee bit of journaling about sums it up.

And to think I'll be leaving them in July. I was so sad thinking about them growing up and leaving my room and now it's me that will be leaving them. I think they can tell change is on the horizon because all last week they were extra sweet. Maybe it's my demeanor? They are so attuned to emotions and react to how adults behave. It's amazing to see the difference in their behavior on a day when I'm stressed out compared to a day when I'm completely relaxed and happy.

Love my day job!
