I am Here

I completely flaked on a CHA Day 3 post and you might not get it. I have photos but this year CHA was so different for me. My mind is already over that week and I'm focusing on this new life in Chicago. Don't get me wrong, I adored last week! It was so much fun and in many ways I wish I could go live it again. I miss my scrapbooking friends and want to walk the floor to admire all the pretties once more. But, as you can imagine, my head is in a different place.

Creating is kind of on hold for a bit. I do have things due but I'm taking one day at a time. Moving is hard! Especially moving across the country! I'm so thankful to work and design for people who are so gracious to me and understand. I'm not disappearing but it will definitely take me a little bit to figure out how to organize my life once again. It's the little things too like, organizing my space. Knowing that things aren't where they once were, etc. Not having the familiarity I once had surrounding me. Getting to know a new place and putting together my room and ... well... I think you get it. If you've ever made a big move then you know what I'm talking about.

So no project to share and since this is turning into a Life post... I thought I'd share two photos.

This first one was taken July 2011 after I first realized this city was going to be my home someday. I had no idea when or how but I knew I was going to live here.

The next one is me in almost the same spot a year later. Who knew that it would be a year later that I'd actually be living here. Surreal indeed! It will probably all sink in about a year from now. ;)
