Feeling Persnickety!

Happy Saturday everyone!

What have you been up to today? I was a little late getting out the door but finally made it to the Blick Art store downtown. FABULOUS art store! So glad I live close to it and my only complaint would be they are a little too excited to help out. I mean, I love good customer service but asking me every three minutes if I need help? A little much. Ha! I shouldn't complain. They were friendly and wonderful and it's better than being ignored.

I've got a couple of cards to share with you today which will explain my blog title. I am in LOVE with the Persnickety collection by my beloved Lily Bee Design. It was what we used at CHA for make and takes and  I kept scheming up ideas for projects using it. LOVE the mix of colors and patterns.

For my first card, I went clean and simple - as per the usual. I just love mixing patterns!

Using a sentiment from SRM Stickers just added that perfect touch. Don't ya love that zig zag??? (Please don't call it chevron because it is NOT. (That's another post coming soon...)

I'm learning to not be so quick about throwing away my scraps.  My fabulous creative friend Jen has inspired me to keep those scraps around. So I did with this card and used the negatives from the punched out butterflies to create this.

The papers from this collection have the zig zag on one side and then a pattern on the other. So I just flipped the papers over to add some variety. Clean. Simple. But still with lots of texture.

Do you immediately throw out your scraps or do you pause and think about other ways you could use them? I challenge you to do the latter. ;)

Have a great weekend!
