My Joy

I made a vow not to long ago that, despite events from my past, no one would be able to steal my joy. Part of that vow was also to myself. That I wouldn't steal my joy away. Because it can happen. Especially to someone who has faced pain in their past. They can easily play the victim. Not only will that make them feel miserable but it will make everyone else feel that way too. I don't want that because feeling miserable just takes way too much energy.  I need energy to do other things that are more fun! Like travel, scrapbook and explore my beautiful city.

Created using the September kit INNOCENCE from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out

I love the way this layout turned out. It was unexpected. I saw the polaroid shapes on the MME papers and thought to cut them out. I was inspired to place patterned paper behind them after seeing this cool technique done with cardstock. I love this trend of die cutting shapes and words and then placing patterned paper behind it. So I tried to exude this similar technique by using the polaroid shapes.

Love the texture in this kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out! Love the topic of Innocence and exploring all that encompasses. What do you think of when you first hear the word Innocence?
