The Next Moment

If you're always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you are in?

When I first saw this quote, it hit me right between the eyes. I am one who is constantly racing to the next moment. It's so hard to just sit still! There is always vision or something going on in my head. This happened the few months leading up to my move and I'm noticing it even after my move. Now that I've been in Chicago for a few months, I'm already racing onto the next thing. What is going to happen? Why do I have to wait so long???

Why can't I just enjoy the moment I'm in now? So, I have taken on this challenge. It's still hard. But I am finding a peace deep within that I haven't really paid attention to before. It's kind of nice!

I love the frames and soft colors from the Tell Your Story collection by Teresa Collins. The frame pattern paper is perfect for fussy cutting. This layout is pretty simple but I wanted to add some "frills". The curves from the frames and the border punch help to do this.

To add even more texture and interest to the layout, I added some ink splatters and switched up the alphabet stickers. And how fun is that light bulb???

This quote speaks to me! Love the color palette you have going on here and that lightbulb embellishment is cool!
