Guest Designing for Laina Lamb

What a delight it was to receive an email, from the uber-talented and sweet Laina Lamb, not too long ago. She wanted me to create with her new stamps and dies for February with My Favorite Things. How could I say no??? I love her stuff! Than I thought, "whoa... me? okay..." *deep breath* Ha!

Nonetheless, her designs make it so easy to create with and I LOVE what was sent to me. Oh Em Gee!

Here is what I got to play with:

Insert It – 3×4 Pocket Die-namics
and

Clear stamps

I also received Journal It - Library Card stamp set and Notebook Paper Die-namics but will show projects using those later this week. And I have a feeling there will be lots of projects. Cards, tags and maybe another layout. :)

I love the Pocket Die-namic and knew I wanted to use it to hold a tag for journaling:

My apologies for the horrible color in these first few photos. Bad lighting!

The dies are super thin, which I love, and just need an extra insert depending on the machine you use. I used the Cuttlebug and used a white insert to help push it together. The cut was beautiful! AND... it scores it too! Woo!

To make the tabs stick, I used some Sookwang Score Tape. Love this stuff! Super thin and super strong to hold small tabs like this together.

Here is the finished pocket, ready for the layout! I had the perfect kraft tag, cut with my Cameo, already done and it fit perfectly.

Here are some photos with better lighting to show off the fabulous stamps. Oh how I am a fan of chevron and arrows!!!

For this I used the small chevron stamp and stamped repeatedly. I used Staz On ink to help prevent bleeding.

And here is the completed layout...

I am pretty simple stamper. No fancy shmancy techniques and that's why I LOVE this stamp set. You don't need to do anything else to make them look fabulous on your layouts. And how adorable is that pocket???

Thanks for swinging by! I can't wait to share more projects with you all this week using her latest release.
