Journaling: One of the most respectful thing I can do for myself is forgiving myself. Forgiving myself for the stupid choices made in life, forgiving myself for not letting go and holding grudges. In the midst of recovery I focus on forgiving others for things they have done but I also must remember the importance of forgiving myself. At first, the concept seemed so foreign to me but, over time, I have experienced the true freedom and healing it can bring. Forgiveness is so necessary.
