I deserve the best.
Almost sounds snooty.
But "the best" to me doesn't mean name brand or Evian water. "The best" simply means I shouldn't settle for something that will leave me feeling comfortable. Thing - "Comfort Zone". I desire to pushed out of that. It's scary as heck but it is necessary in order to see growth and to see my full potential.
So I see "the best" as even better than what I could imagine possible. And if I don't strive for the best; if I simply sit in the first empty seat and "settle"... how will I honestly, respect myself?
This is just one of the layouts I created using the March kit RESPECT from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out.
Relating to the design of this layout, I'm trying to use more pattern in the background. It still makes me nervous but... hey... why should I "settle" for a plain background, right??? *wink*
I love the Portfolio collection by Pink Paislee and there is plenty of it in this months kit. The calm colors and subtle patterns make for very nice backgrounds. The hexagon shapes were made using patterned paper and chipboard shapes from Maya Road (not included in the kit).
How much do I love that polaroid "Superstah" card??? I tucked it behind the paper just so the word would show.
I placed the sparklers from Websters (included in the kit), in places around the hexagons. It adds just enough sparkle for this bling loving gal. :)
So... what comes to your mind when you hear the word RESPECT?
Besides Aretha Franklin... ;)
