One Year Later {Gina's Designs}

Hi everyone!

So sorry for the lack of blogging again. I seem to go in spurts and it just is what it is. :)

About two weeks ago I went to a crop in the 'burbs with my Chicagoland scrapping friends and got a few projects done. At first, I thought to work on some assignments but I decided that I just wanted to create for fun. It's been my mood lately. Especially when I go through, yet again, a round of rejections. I'm learning to bounce back a little quicker and shake it off because each time I just remind myself why I do this. I never want to get into the mindset of being competitive. Even though I am... only when it comes to board games. Haha! It's just like applying for a job. When I've been turned down, it's an opportunity to reevaluate why I wanted to work there, is it worth it to try again and, if not, what's the next step and what am I passionate about. This past occurrence warranted me the opportunity to purge a lot of scrap supplies. There was product I was hanging onto for the wrong reasons. Was I really keeping it because I loved it or was it sitting there because I was hoping for something my heart wasn't even really into? Very cleansing! Literally!

All that say...

I'm sharing a layout I created at the crop. If you've been following my Chicago story, you knew it would be coming - my "one year later" layout. :)

I used all my favorites with this layout. I still DROOL over Allison Krefts designs and I especially continue to drool over her Everyday Eclectic collection for Echo Park. I. Can't. Get. Enough. I also did something I haven't done in awhile and that's mix up the alpha for my title. I LOVE doing this!

This layout also contains some beautiful product from a newer company called Ginas Designs Lasercuts. I was recently sent some chipboard and lasercut doilies to work with and I LOVE them! Such gorgeous designs and with so much detail. I really like the "smudges" on the doily, as a result of the laser cutting. I strongly encourage you to go check out Ginas Designs! I'll be creating some more and sharing the product with you too.

Journaling.

Details.
