I LOVE this time of year.
The cooler temps.
The leaves changing colors.
Pumpkins. Harvest. Cute kids in costume.
I. love. Fall.
Back in Washington, I use to go to a fun apple orchard and pumpkin patch with my friends. We enjoyed driving around the golf card, riding in the wagon and tasting the apples. We all picked out pumpkins, too, and ended the day by carving them.
Many of the elements in this layout were made with my Silhouette Cameo. I used papers from Lily Bee Design and cut out some cute pumpkin shapes. I love how they add the right touch of color and pattern without a lot of layering. This way, the focus could truly be on the photo and journaling.
The title was one that I found in the store. At first, I thought to cut it out and adhere to the base of the layout but, I do LOVE the look of a negative cut. So I opted for that and then backed it with pattern paper.
At first, I didn't like it because the pattern was so muted it blended in with the cardstock. So, I traced it with my white gel pen.
That didn't work.
So, I ended up tracing over the white with a black marker. It helps bring out the title much better.
So, what are your Fall traditions?
