There is nothing quite like getting group of people together who have the same creative outlet.
I always feel like I belong when I can join in a conversation with excitement and knowing. Such is the case when it comes to scrapbooking. Because of this, I've developed some really great friendships here in Chicagoland.
I ADORE the Recorded collection by Allison Kreft for Websters Pages. So fun and easy to work with. I loved making it the main collection used for this layout. And there is LOTS of it in the Belonging kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out.
I also had some fun with the masks by Ronda Palazzari for The Crafters Workshop. I used the purple distress marker from Ranger Industries and did some tracing. I love the symbolism of using these cassette tapes. I remember, back in the day, getting blank tapes and recording songs from the radio. Back. In. The. Day.
I love layering unexpected patterns. My rule of thumb is to always have neutral colors somewhere in the mix. I find that helps me feel less overwhelmed and more willing to experiment.
And check out that cute little cassette tape embellishment??? It's a charm from Websters Pages that coordinates with the Recorded collection AND it's in the kit!
Thanks for swinging by today!
