Happy Day

Hello friends!

Today I'm sharing a card that is completely out of my element. You know I am clean and simple. I like layers. I like a little bit of whimsy. And, sometimes, I will break out of that mold just a little bit.

Well, this card....

I went way out of the mold. And it was SO much fun!

Lots of mists, inks and a stencil!

To begin, I took some white cardstock and misting party. I used a couple of my favorites from Tattered Angels. They are old and still work like a charm. Then, I went over that with the stencil.

I used a black pen and drew the shapes from the stencil. Having no idea what the outcome would be, I LOVE the way it turned out!

After that, I decided I needed to go all the way with the "painty" look and dripped some white paint on top.

The scallop circle is actually a journaling spot from Jillibean Soup. I turned it over and did some misting. I grabbed an old tag (I've had these in my stash since they were popular!!!!) and wrote "happy day" on it.

The finishing touch included some trim from Websters that I spread around the base of the brad.

I LOVE the way this card turned out. I used lots of stash items and no patterned paper. Whoa.

Thanks for swinging by today!
