Old meets new

Hi everyone!

For those of you who have been part of the paper crafting world for years, you may remember a beautiful Valentine/Love collection from Cosmo Cricket back in 2007.  (Was that year really that long ago???)

I remember when this collection first came to my LSS, I snagged all of it! I created and I created and I created.... then... it was gone. I was so sad. Mourning took place.

We've all had that moment haven't we?

Well, imagine my delight when I saw these papers in a friends stash. She was moving and getting rid of a lot of her stuff. I grabbed it immediately. I didn't care how much was in the bag!!!

Finally, I've been able to sit and make some cards. I used these fabulous papers and added in some NEW items and embellishments from other manufacturers.

Can I love my own card?

Cause I do!

The background paper was cut using my Silhouette. I used one shape from a fun file called 3x4 journaling cards love by Michelle Renee (Design id# #54694)

The heart is from a die cut sheet in the Hey Sugar collection. Each die cut has button holes in the middle. I used some raffia for the bow and stuck in some adorable pins from Freckled Fawn.

Anyone else addicted to wood veneer embellishments?

Here is the full supply list:

Paper, die cut: Hey Sugar Collection from Cosmo Cricket, Cardstock: Core'dinations, Wood Veneer Embellishments: Studio Calico, Stick Pins: Freckled Fawn, Raffia: unknown, Die Cutting Machine: Silhouette Cameo

Thanks for swinging by today! I've got a couple more cards to share using old product and new product together. SO fun!

Very cute! I had some of that line too and finally used what I wanted and got rid of the rest of it a few months ago. Love the diecut background on your card and the little wood veneer heart! :)

Cute, indeed. And I bet I have some Cosmo Cricket that is just as old, maybe even some of that.
