I have been on a mission lately to go through my scraps. In doing so, I have created LOTS of cards and it has been super fun. I've been so focused on my visual journaling pages that I haven't really given myself time to create other projects. So, this was just as therapeutic!
The card I'm sharing today was inspired by this one I found on Pinterest by Betsy Veldman. The entire post of how she created the card is found HERE on the Pink Paislee blog. I trimmed my strips a little bit larger than 1/2 inch and I placed them a little differently but it is, overall, the same technique.
I also added some faux stitching to help ground the design and add some fun texture. Instead of clumping the embellishments with the sentiment, I chose to take advantage of the offset design and heat embossed my sentiment.
Love this card and will probably be making more using this fun design twist. It uses up lots of scraps and adds lots of color and pattern.
