Cut it out Saturday: It's Been a Journey

Happy weekend!

Today I'm sharing  a layout using an awesome cut file that is available at Paper Issues. The fabulous Jen Chapin created this cut file. It was so fun to work with. And it has been way too long since I've gotten to use my Cameo. It's been packed since I moved back in July and, last weekend was the first time I got to push that blessed power button. SO good!

Here is the full layout with a little back story...

Some design notes: I really like the grid potential of this cut file. So, I went almost full page with it. I punched out various pieces of patterned paper from a favorite collection. I'm always intrigued by layouts that use so many patterns and colors. I really love this collection from Allison Kreft for Echo Park and I knew the combo of patterns wouldn't overwhelm me. I'm too clean and simple for my own good! Also... kraft matted on top of kraft helps calm it all down. I also found that embellishing this type of "grid" is really easy. A little cluster there and a little cluster here. Wah lah!

As you can tell, hopefully, from my photo and the pieces of flair, this layout is dedicated to the journey of being  a TRUE Seattle Seahawks fan. The highs and the deep, deep, frustrating lows. I am such a Washingtonian. A true PNW Washingtonian. I love football and I sure love the Seahawks.

And that flair??? How FUN is that??? Those are from Toni From Designs. She has a fantastic collection of flair in her shop. I just about eeeked with delight when I saw the Seahawks flair! She has other team flair, as well as, everyday collections. They are such good quality. I can't wait to add more to my collection.

Here are a few close ups to show the dimension and details...
