Aahhh... the day after World Card Making Day!
I'm still making cards. But, I thought I would share with you a couple that got finished yesterday.
I am a pretty clean and simple card maker. Usually, to add texture and dimension, I'll quickly add a piece of trim or pop dot some of the elements. This card uses exactly these elements. It was super quick and easy to put together.
The 77 collection from Glitz is a tough one for me. These are so not colors I'm drawn to but, I was up for the challenge! Heck... this is the year I was born so, why not challenge myself??? I really feel like I can connect with this collection... hahahaha...
Anyway, a few strips of a paper, some elements from the sticker sheet... add some pop dots, bling and WAH LAH! A card that I actually really like!
The alpha is a mix of what I had in my stash. The script is Websters Pages and the orange is from Lily Bee.
Now, moving onto the next card...
This one is using Capture by Basic Grey. And it's all stickers! I had a sheet of the stickers from this collection but, no patterned paper. I couldn't figure out why until I remembered that it was part of a sample pack from Winter CHA. But heck... stickers are just as good, if not better! I simply used some of the border strips, a frame and a flower sticker from the sheet.
To complete, I found some leftover brads from the Miss Caroline collection by My Minds Eye. The colors matched perfectly! And finished this one off with a stamp I had from Fiskars.
I love mixing old with the new! I especially like digging into the "old" stuff. Feels good to use it up!
You can find some of what I used in the Paper Issues store! And use melissa20 on your order to get 20% off! That rocks, right???
