It has been three months since I moved back home and, I have to say, I'm feeling like my old self! It feels good to have the time and energy to create when I get home and, to stay on top of social stuff. LOVE it!
Today I'm sharing another card I made on WCMD. This one I actually started several months ago, before I moved. I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest and, wouldn't you know, I didn't save the darn pin! So... if you see this and it is YOUR card that I was inspired by, let me know. Credit should be given where it is due.
I was drawn to the card I found because of the way it used up lots of scraps and patterns. Lots of scallops! So I punched out a bunch of circles and cut them in half. It was a lot of work but, also kinda fun...
The layering took forever but... again... it was kinda fun.
When I pulled this out to finish it, I had already attached the scallops and kraft strip with the faux stitching. The flower was adhered but, apparently not very well, because it was dangling. So, I reattached that and added the chalkboard sticker by MME. I really like the way it pops on top of all the muted colors.
And... as I was putting together by blog post, I realized that this qualifies for the current Issue and Link Party happening at Paper Issues! "You're Sew Cute You Keep Me In Stitches"
There is a fabulous prize to be won from May Arts! Have you made anything with stitching recently? It can premade, faux or the real deal.
Thanks for swinging by today!
