Thinking of You

I love Saturdays.

I love staying in bed a little bit longer with a good book.

Enjoying the slow process of waking up and no need to bolt out of bed.

I also love Saturdays because, once a month, Paper Issues has a new FREE cut file! Jen Chapin is a cut file making wiz and I absolutely love the one she created for this month.

The cut file is a group of triangles with several that have text, including the year 2015. I chose to ungroup and remove the text in those triangles and just go with plain ole triangles.

I absolutely LOVE the new collection Hall Pass by Websters Pages. SUCH an awesome collection packed with colors and fun patterns.  I knew it would be fun to use with this cut file.

After cutting the pattern out on the cardstock, I layered the woodgrain on the inside.

The black and white vellum strip is a piece of the 12x12 vellum sheet part of this collection. Kinda looks like washi when it's cut out doesn't it?

Adding paint splatters and enamel dots added some awesome texture to this card.

Is it okay to be in love with your own card?

I think it is okay!

Head over to the Paper Issues blog today to see how some of my fellow team members worked this cut file! There is some fabulous work over there.

And.... Hall Pass is available in the Paper Issues store! Save 20% on your entire order by using code melissa20. Have fun shopping!
